Walking around aimlessly

Yesterday was a day spent walking around the streets of Singapore, with Ryan, aimlessly! We just walked around anywhere that deemed fit and would only check the map if we were lost. Surprisingly the more we walked, we realized that we were walking in circles, or rather coming back to a familiar junction that we once crossed. No wonder people gets lost inside jungles easily.

Then we went to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in Chinatown to take a look. It's more of a tourist attraction rather than a temple for people to pray, although people could do that too. Just that it's more open to photography and people strolling in and out.

There's a little room at the roof where there are thousands of these little buddha statues, and with numberings on them too. Serial numbers?

And moving on, we left the temple and went to the streets of Chinatown where the older generation roamed the place and hanged out with their friends.

Must be reading his manual on how to operate whatever he's going to.

Many of these street cobblers are not doing such business anymore. They're becoming less common to spot nowadays.

And then we came across another temple, a lot smaller than the Buddha Tooth Relic temple. As expected, I got stopped by a woman when going beyond the courtyard area. The place was rather empty, only the 2 of us plus another man.

Continued our aimless walking.

Saw these little figurines of wrestlers on display at a shop selling lots of collectibles.

At Raffles Place there's this miniature Smurf soccer display! Not sure why Smurf but they were the attraction in the middle of the all the tall office buildings.

National flag of Singapore hanging outside of every unit! So we went for dinner soon after, and back home after a much walking!
